Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology has been a vanguard in frosting innovation and incubating professional design were students and faculty can explore their potential. The respective faculties are constantly involved in the promotion and distribution of information, just as students are finding ways to launch business ideas to influence society and solve problems in the real world.
Intellectual property is crucial in giving every institution a competitive advantage. Physical assets are less important than tangible assets such as technologies, designs, software, brand name, and other imaginative and innovative ideas. The IPR Cell in Dr. TTIT is dedicated in encouraging, protecting, managing, and commercializing intellectual property created by the College, such as patents, copyright, and trademarks. The cell fosters an environment conducive to the creation of intellectual property in academia. Dr. TTIT's faculty and students are actively involved in the IPR filing process in a variety of engineering and technology disciplines.
Intellectual property must be secured in order for entities to obtain recognition or financial benefits. Intellectual Property Rights are used by governments around the world to shield inventors' (Creators') creative ideas (IPR). IPR has recently become a hot topic in both developed and developing countries. The reason for this IPR stems from the need to raise awareness among the College's researchers, faculty, and students about the value of IPRs as a marketable financial asset and economic tool.
IPR Cell at the College helped file five Patents.
