Introduction
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the year 1993 with an intake of 30 to equip young people with the necessary technical knowledge and professional skills needed to address the challenges in the rapidly growing field of Electronics and Communication Engineering field.

The department has achieved 4 VTU ranks with GATE qualified and dedicated faculty members. Ever since the inception of the department, it has been fulfilling the needs of the students by imparting the latest and need-based technical knowledge by providing well equipped laboratories.

Infrastructure facility
1.Class rooms
Department has spacious class rooms with adequate seating capacity. Each class room is provided with green board, podium and LCD projector with screen facility.
2.Lab details
Department has spacious lab with adequate seating capacity to conduct the experiments. Each lab is provided with LCD projector, adequate equipments and computer systems with required software’s.
3. Department seminar hall
Seminar hall equipped with LCD projector, screen with uninterrupted power supply with an seating capacity of 70.

Program Outcomes (POs)
At the end of the B.E program, students are expected to have developed the following outcomes:
  1. Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialisation to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6. The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

1. IETE sponsored Poliah Bojja Seminar on Artificial Intelligence

Hosted at the e-Shikshana Centre, Dr.TTIT, an IETE-sponsored one-day seminar on "Classification and Prediction of MRI Images with Machine Learning Approach" was conducted on 17th November 2023.

The Chief Guest Dr. Polaiah Bojja, a renowned expert and Dean at the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad, shared valuable insights into AI techniques and their applications in medical image processing.

Students and faculty of EEE and ECE participated.

Dr. Bhuvanendiran, Prof. Deepa, Prof. Jeevika Mary, and Dr. Lakshmipathy. N, coordinated the session.



2. Awareness session on GATE Exams | ECE

A session on "Awareness on Gate Exams", sponsored by IETE, was organized in the Department of ECE on September 22, 2023. Mr. Rajesh Kumar Kaushal, Assistant Professor in the ECE Department, conducted a comprehensive session on Gate Exams and their advantages.
