The campus came alive with excitement, creativity, and talent during Techno Rush 2026 and Gold Rush 2026, showcasing the perfect blend of technical excellence and cultural spirit.

On 25th April 2026, the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) successfully organized Techno Rush 2026, featuring a wide range of technical competitions including Circuit Design, Code Debugging, Web Design, Tech Extempore, Solid Modelling, Prompt Battle, and more. Students from DR TTIT, CMRIT Bangalore, CBIT Kolar, and SIRAM College participated enthusiastically, demonstrating innovation, technical expertise, and competitive spirit.

From 24th to 28th April 2026, Gold Rush 2026 transformed the campus into a vibrant celebration of culture and talent. The five-day fest featured a grand pre-inaugural procession, College Day, Denim Day, Ethnic Day, sports events, music and dance performances, and a spectacular Fashion Show that captivated the audience.

The Department of Mining Engineering, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a session on “How to Plan for Start-up and Legal & Ethical Steps” on 29 May 2026 at the ECE Edusat Hall.

The resource person, Dr. Manas Mukhopadhyay, guided nearly 50 students through the essential aspects of start-up planning, including idea development, business strategy, and the legal and ethical responsibilities of entrepreneurs.

The session was highly interactive and informative, providing valuable insights into entrepreneurship and encouraging students to explore innovative start-up opportunities while adhering to ethical and legal standards.

The 40th College Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 26th April 2026 in the presence of distinguished guests from GVET and iNurture Education Solutions. The event featured the presentation of the College Annual Report, release of the Centenary Year Celebration logo commemorating the 100th Birth Anniversary of Founder Dr. T. Thimmaiah, and felicitation of academic toppers and sports achievers for 2024–25. The celebrations concluded on a memorable note with recognition of outstanding performances in academics and sports.

Our institution successfully conducted the 'Mock CET Test' on 12th April, continuing a proud tradition for the **9th consecutive year.

A remarkable **557 aspirants** from across Kolar District participated in this KCET-simulated examination, gaining valuable experience and confidence for the actual test.

With well-organized logistics and transport facilities, the event was conducted smoothly and efficiently. Parents also engaged in an interactive session with the Principal, making the day informative and meaningful for both students and families.

The 4th Semester students of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology (Dr. TTIT), KGF, visited the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru on 7th March 2026 during the Open Day.

A total of 21 teaching and non-teaching staff members participated in the visit.
